The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Research and Development is seeking individuals to test their new mobile application called Smoke Sense as a part of an ongoing citizen science study. The study is first of its kind and aims to determine the level of impact resulting from wildland fire smoke exposure on health and productivity. Data collected in this study will be used to inform the development of health risk communication strategies that protect public health during smoke days.
To participate in this study, individuals need to download and use the Smoke Sense mobile application, currently available on Andriod phones via the Google Play Store. Additional information about the mobile app and this study can be found by visiting EPA’s webpage.
