Apply Now: Harvard Fellowship – Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders in Health

Sep 12, 2019 | Kim Rodgers

The Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2020-2021 year. At the Harvard Medical School, Boston, applications are now being accepted for a one-year, degree-granting, full-time fellowship beginning July 2020.

The Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University (CFF) is designed to prepare physicians, particularly physicians from groups underrepresented in medicine, to become leaders who improve the health of disadvantaged and vulnerable populations through transforming health care delivery systems and promoting innovation in policies, practices, and programs that address health equity and the social determinants of health.

Fellows will complete academic work leading to a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and gain exposure to, and understanding of, major health issues facing vulnerable and disadvantaged populations through fellowship activities. The program offers intensive study in health policy, public health, and management. Fellows also participate in leadership forums and seminars with nationally recognized leaders in health care delivery systems, minority health, and health policy. The Fellowship also offers a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at the Harvard Kennedy School to physicians already possessing an MPH.

Eligibility & Application Guidance

Physicians who are U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents and who have completed residency, and are either Board Eligible or Board Certified in the U.S. are eligible for the fellowship.
