The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has launched a new tool, Hep C Policy Simulator (HepCSim), to inform state-level policy and budgetary planning for hepatitis C screening, management and treatment. HepCSim allows users to estimate and compare the economic and health consequences of specific policies and strategies, such as universal screening or drug price negotiation. The tool allows users to examine policy decisions over different timeframes and within different subpopulations.
