HIV.gov launched the updated HIV Testing Sites & Care Locator and Locator Widget, which offer new HIV prevention and treatment resources based on updated data. The Locator can help both individuals at risk for HIV and individuals with HIV connect to the service(s) they need. The Locator is powered by data provided by the federal agencies that support the delivery of these services through grants to recipients in states and communities. It also provides locations of HIV-related services in communities across the United States, including HIV and STI testing, PrEP, HIV care and treatment in Ryan White clinics and community health centers, family planning, housing, mental health, and substance use treatment services. New features include:
- Information on where someone can go to receive Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)
- A cleaner and brighter design that makes information easier to find and read on both a mobile device and desktop
- Updated interface, including separate map and list views and more details about testing and PrEP service providers
