The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) on June 12, 2019. NOFO CDC-RFA-PS19-1906: Strategic Partnerships and Planning to support the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the United States provides funding in two components to assist in the rapid planning process for Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative, component A is awarded to one national organization, and component B is awarded to health departments. Completed applications must be submitted by July 12, 2019.
Component B: Accelerating State and Local HIV Planning to End the HIV Epidemic of the notice of opportunity is awarded to state, local, and territorial health departments to conduct local collaborative planning for HIV prevention and care programming in alignment with the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative. CDC will fund health departments with Ending the HIV Epidemic Phase 1 jurisdictions to conduct a rapid planning process that engages the community, HIV planning bodies, HIV prevention, and care providers, and other partners in aligning resources and activities to develop jurisdictional End the HIV Epidemic plans. Activities funded under this component will facilitate future implementation activities associated with Phase 1 of the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative.
