The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials published a new infographic and primer on national STD trends to help health agency leaders make the case for robust STD prevention and treatment programs.

• The infographic outlines the rising rates of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), the importance of investing in health department STD programs, and how public health is our best line of defense in combating STDs.
• The primer uses 2017 surveillance data to provide a quick snapshot of current STD trends and issues, and outlines steps health officials can take to articulate the need for robust STD prevention and treatment programs.
