A lab director with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dr. Wayne Cascio, was in California during the Paradise wildfire, and he wrote a blog post about how he and others used EPA’s Smoke Sense app during the fire.
When Dr. Cascio was in Sacramento and San Francisco, he writes, Smoke Sense provided useful information about local air quality, actions he should take to limit his exposure, and where the smoke was located as well as what was anticipated for the next day
