National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2018

In 2008, the National Association of People with AIDS launched this observance day to recognize the disproportionate impact of the epidemic on gay men. In the United States in 2014, 70% of new HIV infections were among gay/bisexual men. In 2016, 86.1% of gay/bisexual men receiving Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program medical care were virally suppressed. Fungal Disease Awareness Week 2018

The second annual Fungal Disease Awareness Week is scheduled for October 1-5, 2018. CDC organized the observance last year to raise awareness among the public and healthcare providers about fungal diseases, which often go undiagnosed.
