NACCHO Sharing Session: Active Managerial Control
May 24 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
NACCHO will host an online sharing session on Active Managerial Control (AMC) scheduled for May 24, 2017 at 1:00-2:00 PM/ET. Using AMC to reduce foodborne illness risk factors is credited by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Code, as the best way to accomplish one of its primary goals for regulators and the industry, to produce safe, quality food for customers. Presenters in this session will provide specific insight and best practices related to using AMC, both from the local health department and industry perspective.
The first presentation will highlight how the Fairfax County Health Department in Virginia promotes and encourages AMC within food service operations by providing industry education; offering AMC tools and resources; and administering AMC recognition and voluntary enrollment programs. Next, Dr. Hal King will provide a retail food establishment operator’s point of view on AMC. Participants will also be encouraged to share their own challenges, successes, and to ask questions during the discussion portion of the presentation. Click to register today!
