Million Hearts® in Municipalities Learning Collaborative: Air Quality and Cardiovascular Health
May 15 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Particle pollution – also called particulate matter (PM) – is made up of particles (tiny pieces) of solids or liquids in the air. Research shows that short- and long-term exposure to particulate pollution are both linked to an increased risk of heart attacks and other forms of heart disease.
Join NACCHO, in partnership with CDC, on the national Million Hearts® in Municipalities Collaborative call to learn about the adverse impact particle pollution has on cardiovascular health and discuss strategies to reduce the amount of particle pollution exposure.
- Dr. Kanta Sircar, CDC Epidemiologist, Commander in US Public Health Services
- Dr. Fuyuen Yip, CDC Research Scientist Officer, Captain in US Public Health Services
Join the Collaborative call Tuesday, May 15th, 3pm-4pm EST. Register here.
