MAHC Network Webinar: Response to a Spa-Related Outbreak of Legionnaires’ Disease in Colorado

Join representatives from the Colorado Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for a Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC) Network webinar to discuss response to a spa-related outbreak of legionella. Attendees are also encouraged to participate in an interactive portion of the webinar that will guide NACCHO programmatic activities to expand the MAHC Network.
Presenter: Tori Burket completed her M.S. in Environmental Health with a specialization in Epidemiology at Colorado State University. There her thesis included a longitudinal analysis of E. coli O157:H7 shedding patterns in dairy cattle in northern Colorado. Tori is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Environmental Health with a specialization in Epidemiology at Colorado State University. Her research papers include topics related to E. coli and Legionella. Since January 2017 she has served as the Waterborne Disease Epidemiologist with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. At CDPHE she coordinates surveillance, prevention, and response for cases of Legionella, Vibrio, Cyclospora, Cryptosporidium, and Giardia as well providing training and outreach for local public health, environmental health, and community partners.
