2019 Joint PulseNet/OutbreakNet East Coast Regional Meeting
January 15 - January 17
The Association of Public Health Laboratories, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists invite you to attend the 2019 Joint PulseNet/OutbreakNet East Coast Regional Meeting to be held on January 15-17, 2019 in Tampa, FL at the Embassy Suites USF Hotel.
This meeting will bring together laboratorians, epidemiologists and environmental health specialists involved with foodborne and enteric disease outbreak response. Issues discussed will include surveillance and outbreak detection of enteric diseases. Combined and discipline-specific sessions are planned over the course of the 2½ day meeting.
Registration: There is no registration fee to attend this meeting. To register, please see the regional meeting page here and click the red “Register Now!” button at the top of the page just beneath the date and location for the meeting. Registration is due December 15, 2018.
Hotel Accommodations: Please contact the hotel directly to make your hotel reservations by calling the hotel at 1.813.977.7066, refer to “Association of Public Health Laboratories” or you can use the online link on the registration page under ‘Hotel’ to reserve rooms. The rate is $154.00/standard room + tax (per diem). The deadline to make your reservations under this group rate is December 15, 2018.
Travel: Laboratory and epidemiology personnel who have ELC funding are expected to use those funds for travel expenses to attend this meeting. Additionally, RRT funds may be also used for travel. Limited travel scholarships will be available. Epidemiologists, laboratorians, and environmental health specialists may apply for a travel scholarship by filling out this form, which can also be found on the registration page under ‘Travel Funds’. Travel scholarship requests must be received by October 31, 2018.
