2018 Behavior Change Webinar Series for Food Safety Educators: Using Behavioral Economics to Change Behavior
April 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
This is the second in a four-part webinar series presented by the Partnership for Food Safety Education in conjunction with the Social Marketing Association of North America. The first three webinars will walk through different behavior change disciplines. The last webinar will bring all the speakers together to talk about the similarities and differences between the different disciplines.
Behavioral economics studies the effects of psychological, social, cognitive and emotional factors on the decisions of individuals. The three main prevalent themes are heuristics, framing and market inefficiencies. During this second webinar of a four-part Behavior Change series, the Partnership for Food Safety Education, with guest Richard Mathera of Common Cents Lab, will give you an overview of behavioral science and some of its food safety applications.
