NACCHO has received additional funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to support local health departments as they engage and collaborate with healthcare providers and other key community stakeholders to increase human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates in their communities, according to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ HPV vaccination recommendations. Up to ten selected local health department awardees will be required to engage partners in a NACCHO-led action planning process to identify steps to increase HPV vaccination rates in their communities. For more information, review the request for applications (RFA). Applications are due October 29, 2015.
