New NACCHO HPV Funding Opportunity and Informational Webinar

Sep 22, 2015 | Alyson Jordan

NACCHO has received additional funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to support local health departments as they engage and collaborate with healthcare providers and other key community stakeholders to increase human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates in their communities, according to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ HPV vaccination recommendations. Up to ten selected local health department awardees will be required to engage partners in a NACCHO-led action planning process to identify steps to increase HPV vaccination rates in their communities. For more information, review the request for applications (RFA). Applications are due October 29, 2015.

NACCHO will hold an informational webinar on September 25 at 2:00 PM EDT to answer questions about the RFA. To participate in the webinar, login at http://bit.ly/hpv_rfa2015 and call in to 1-866-740-1260, passcode: 5074278. No pre-registration is required. Please note that no new information will be shared during the webinar and applicants need not wait for this optional webinar to begin or submit applications. The webinar will be recorded and posted to NACCHO’s website the week of September 28.

Applications must be submitted no later than October 29, 2015 at 5:00 PM EDT. Selections will be made on or around November 20, 2015. To see how last year’s grantees engaged with their partners, visit NACCHO’s website. All necessary information regarding the project and application process may be found in the RFA at http://naccho.org/topics/HPDP/immunization/upload/NACCHO-HPV-RFA-9-22-15.pdf. Potential applicants may also e-mail questions to [email protected].
