The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) published a brochure to highlight some of the work NCEZID and their partners carried out in 2017. The brochure features stories on a range of topics, including combating antibiotic resistance (p. 4-5), responding to vector-borne diseases (p. 6-7), and domestic outbreaks (p. 10), and bringing Advanced Molecular Detection (AMD) technologies to public health labs (p. 14).
Partnerships both at home and around the globe have been critical to these efforts. There is still much work to be done, and CDC looks forward to continued progress in combating infectious diseases and strengthening public health. View the brochure to learn more!
