Project Inform and Med-IQ launched new online educational resources for medical and other front line support staff around PrEP implementation: a CME accredited one-hour webinar and accompanying slide deck.
Med-IQ offers a new one-hour, CME accredited medical provider webinar, “Practical Considerations for Incorporating PrEP into HIV Prevention Efforts in the Primary Care Setting,” focusing on presenting an individual case story of providing PrEP. A sign-in process is required but it is free. Med-IQ’s mission is to improve patient health care outcomes. It is the only accredited health care education company able to offer solutions throughout the health care delivery continuum — at every point where there is interaction with the patient.
Project Inform’s slide presentation was created to compliment Med-IQ’s webinar. The slides provide baseline information on screening protocols for providing PrEP, with additional and sometimes overlooked patient considerations such as gender identity and expression, using stigma-free language, providing a sex-positive medical environment, and troubleshooting administrative issues.
