The Region IV Public Health Training Center of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) introduces the national dialogue about public health and healthcare system integration in this 1.5-hour webinar. This webinar includes how infectious diseases have helped demonstrate the significant need to strengthen the collaboration between public health and healthcare. It defines the regional differences in outcomes and inputs, specifically as they relate to infectious diseases and how they affect patient care and population health; and describes the national framework for integration of public health and primary care.
This webinar was originally held in March 2017, but with the severity of the current flu season, this is a timely resource.
