The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Environmental Health Services Branch, the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), the Colorado Integrated Food Safety Center of Excellence (COE), and the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center, recently developed a variety of user-friendly and useful environmental assessment (EA) tools, trainings, and resources for regulatory food safety programs.

This includes CDC’s Virtual Training Series, the Colorado COE Quicktrain and Just-in-Time Training, the NEHA Training Portal, the NEHA Online Environmental Assessment (EA) Certificate Training, and the NEW Certified Foodborne Outbreak Investigator Credential. By utilizing these many great resources available, food safety programs can better prepare, respond, and prevent foodborne illness outbreaks.
