The New England Journal of Medicine has published an article on the 2016 Shiga toxin-producing E.coli (STEC) outbreak. The investigation was the first to confirm flour as the source of an outbreak of STEC infections and reveal the health risks of eating uncooked dough or batter and homemade play-dough to children.
