The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking proposals for a $600,000 funding opportunity that aims to gain a better understanding of the factors contributing to vaccination coverage disparities observed between young children living below the poverty level and those living at or above the poverty level, including challenges accessing vaccination services, receiving lower quality vaccination services, Medicaid policy-related barriers, knowledge/attitudes/beliefs toward vaccination, and competing priorities.
The anticipated number of awards will be one; however, the total amount awarded and the number of awards will depend upon the number, quality, duration and cost of the applications received. Read the full notice of funding opportunity to learn more.
Applications are due January 18. If your local health department is planning to apply but would like some support from NACCHO, please contact our Immunization Team to discuss the opportunity further.
