Watch Now: Benefits & Best Practices: E-Learning Modalities for Tailored Technical Assistance

Nov 14, 2017 | Kim Rodgers

As health departments begin to seek cost-effective methods to build capacity, modern systems that optimize efficacy without sacrificing quality require further exploration. To address this, NACCHO recently partnered with the Urban Coalition for HIV/AIDS Prevention Services (UCHAPS) and National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) to host a webinar on the benefits of e-learning by leveraging online technical assistance platforms as a vehicle for capacity building assistance.

The webinar examined the benefits of electronic technical assistance in relation to the unique needs of members across the nation. The webinar equipped participants to:

  • Understand fundamental competencies behind e-learning modalities of technical assistance that optimize efficacy, reduce waste, and prioritize needed support
  • Operationalize best practices among health department staff to more accurately meet the needs of target populations within a specific jurisdiction
  • Disseminate lessons learned with interested parties and continue identifying gaps that may arise with implementation or staff uptake
