Resource: Harm Reduction Program (HRP) Guidelines and Certification Procedures

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) Bureau for Public Health (BPH) Harm Reduction Program (HRP) Guidelines and Certification Procedures, adapted from the Kentucky Harm Reduction and Harm Reduction Program at the Kentucky Department of Health, is now available.

The guidelines include the following chapters:

  • Laying the Groundwork for Program Implementation
  • Reaching Potential HRP Participants
  • Operating Principles of HRPs

Local health departments interested in establishing or strengthening HRPs in their communities should view the guidelines as a helpful resource.
