The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) in coordination with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Baylor University is seeking input from environmental health professional working at public health departments via an online assessment and in-person workshops. Data gathered using these tools will inform the Understanding the Needs, Challenges, Opportunities, Vision, and Emergency Roles in Environmental Health (UNCOVER EH) initiative. Ultimately, the project aims to provide an unprecedented and comprehensive description of EH professionals’ characteristics and the critical functions they perform, along with the identification of current and emerging challenges EH professionals face across all levels of government.
NACCHO highly encourages local health department staff to register by September 29, 2017 to participate. Click here to sign up to receive the electronic assessment and learn more about UNCOVER EH. Agency staff can also opt to provide their entire environmental team/ department email roster by contacting [email protected].
