Apply Now: Johns Hopkins Bloomberg MPH Fellowship

Aug 23, 2017 | Kim Rodgers

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health recently announced that the application for the 2018 class of Bloomberg MPH Fellows is now open. Bloomberg Fellows receive full-tuition scholarships (plus a $10,000 stipend) to obtain a Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Fellows can attend full-time over 11 months in Baltimore, or part-time, taking most courses online over a period of two to three years.

Each fellow concentrates his or her studies in one of the five focus areas. To be eligible for the program, individuals must also have a commitment of support from the organization for which they work, which commits to employ the fellow for at least a year upon completion of the program. This innovative program model enables people and organizations already doing important work in the five areas to gain public health tools that can strengthen their ability to tackle these critical challenges.

The fellowship program aims to both train great people and create opportunities for their organizations. We’re not only looking for applicants from the world of public health – all kinds of individuals and organizations can benefit from the tools of public health and play a role in tackling the five challenges. The organizations will become part of a national network that can work together to tackle these challenges.

The priority application deadline is November 1, 2017, with a final deadline of December 1, 2017, for all application requirements, including the Bloomberg Fellows application, the SOPHAS application, and all supporting materials.

Please note: To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must be accepted to the MPH program. More information about the MPH application requirements can be found here.
