NACCHO has several travel scholarships for food safety leaders to attend the Integrated Foodborne Outbreak Response and Management (INFORM) Conference 2017. The conference is held on November 6-9, 2017 in Garden Grove, CA.This four-day event convenes nearly 500 international attendees representing federal, state, and local public health, food, and environmental regulatory agencies. Attendees will explore topics related to surveillance and outbreak detection of enteric diseases, focusing on illness caused by contaminated food, water, and animals.
The scholarship is intended for travel related items (e.g., flight, hotel, per diem, and ground transportation) and will include a reimbursement of up to $1,400 after travel is completed. Individuals eligible for this scholarship include local health officials who routinely work with foodborne disease surveillance and outbreak response or environmental health investigations/assessments.
