On August 28, CDC released the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report article, “Vaccination Coverage Among Children in Kindergarten-United States, 2014-15 School Year.” This report describes vaccination coverage from 49 states and DC and vaccination exemption levels from 46 states and DC for children enrolled in kindergarten during the 2014–15 school year, as reported by federally funded state immunization programs. Overall, most kindergarteners are up-to-date for the recommended vaccinations and exemption rates remain low, but all results vary by state.
