The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP) released a new fact sheet on “Reducing Harms from Injection Drug Use & Opioid Use Disorder with Syringe Services Programs.” The fact sheet describes the components of a comprehensive syringe services program (SSP) and the related benefits to communities and public safety. Local health departments interested in implementing an SSP can use this new resource as an informational tool.
