The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released the 2015 Annual Report on Surveillance for Foodborne Disease Outbreaks United States.The report includes summaries based on information provided by state, local, and territorial health departments.Public health practitioners can use this resource to increase their understanding about the pathogens, foods, settings, and contributing factors (e.g., food not kept at the right temperature) involved in foodborne outbreaks. In addition, this report can help identify emerging foodborne disease threats and can inform the development of new interventions aimed at preventing future outbreaks.
