Provider Resources: Protecting Patients from Syphilis

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Office of STD Prevention has released new resources to help combat rising syphilis rates. The first is a Medscape commentary that provides an overview of recent syphilis increases, challenges associated with its prevention, and the specific steps clinicians can take to reverse these trends. The second resource is a short, whiteboard video highlighting how clinicians can use ‘Talk, Test, and Treat’ to protect patients from syphilis.

NACCHO encourages our members to review and share these resources with providers in your jurisdictions.
