The National Center for Healthy Housing is seeking grant applicants for an opportunity to receive up to $5,000 in funding to support local lead poisoning prevention events. Ten or more communities will receive funding to host education/awareness events during the fall of 2017. Successful events should aim to mobilize community action advancing local lead poisoning prevention efforts, and could include workshops, roundtable discussions, awareness events for children and families, press conferences, coalition-building, etc. Applications are being accepted through July 28, 2017.Click here to apply today.
Potential grantees should plan on using a forthcoming report, Nine Strategies to Prevent and Respond to Childhood Lead Exposure, to inform event planning and implementation strategy.
