CMS Issue Brief: Increasing Physical Accessibility in Health Care Facilities

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Office of Minority Health recently released a new issue brief, titled: “Increasing the Physical Accessibility of Health Care Facilities.” This resource provides an overview of barriers faced by individuals with disabilities attempting to enter or navigate health care facilitates; the current federal and state-level policies designed to address these barriers, and recommendations on how to further expand access.
