30 Days of HIV: A Digital Campaign to Engage Black Communities

May 24, 2017 | Kim Rodgers

Leading up to National HIV Testing Day (June 27), the Black AIDS Institute is kicking off a national, digital campaign, “30 DAYS OF HIV”. Starting May 27, this campaign has three core elements to mobilize and engage Black communities:

  • Online Community Calendar: This national resource will promote HIV and health events serving Black communities, taking place all over the country during May 27 – June 27, 2017. These events will also be promoted daily via the Black AIDS Institute’s social media channels. To learn event selection criteria and submit an event, please visit: Online Community Calendar
  • In The Life: An Instagram series featuring life experiences of Black gay/same gender loving and bisexual men and self-identified trans men. From May 27-June 27, a story a day aims to defy stereotypes surrounding men of color by sharing their lives in their own words. Submit your story by May 27 and get featured! To learn participant criteria and how to submit your story, please visit: In The Life
  • Daily Actions: To motivate and mobilize Black communities around the country, the Institute will post a daily call to action on social media. Starting May 27, these actions are intended to create ideas of how to make a difference and generate conversation. Take action, share what you are doing and send us comments via social media. For more information, please visit: Daily Actions
