The Conference for Food Protection (CFP) is now accepting applications for Council membership at the 2018 Biennial Meeting to be held April 16-20, 2018 in Richmond, Virginia. Applications will be accepted through June 11, 2017. Any member of the CFP is eligible to apply using this online application.
Background
The following councils are accepting members:
- Council I deliberates on matters pertaining to laws, regulations and model codes governing the safety of food.
- Council II deliberates on matters relating to the Constitution and Bylaws, Conference procedures, memoranda of understanding, program evaluation, education, training and certification.
- Council III deliberates on food science and technology related to food safety.
Each council is formed according to Articles XI-XIII of the Constitution and Bylaws. Criteria are based on regulatory/industry balance, geographic diversity, balanced representation among CFP constituencies, and levels of experience in CFP.
