The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is recruiting local health departments (LHDs) to participate in its HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis Sentinel Network. The Sentinel Network is an important mechanism for gathering and sharing information so that NACCHO can support capacity-building efforts for LHDs. NACCHO will use information gathered from the Sentinel Network to guide our efforts with federal partners and national stakeholders; advocate on behalf of LHDs for adequate resources and appropriate public health legislation; and fulfill our mission to be a leader, partner, catalyst, and voice for local health departments.
Information will be collected from the Sentinel Network through brief queries distributed on a quarterly basis. Peer learning and engagement will be supported via quarterly virtual meetings to share and discuss query findings.
We are looking for representation from local health departments across the country, representing jurisdictions of all sizes. To join, fill out this form. Forms are being accepted on a rolling basis.
If you have any questions about the Sentinel Network, please email Shalesha Majors, [email protected] , or call 202-507-4223.
