The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Division of STD Prevention has released Let’s Work Together to Stem the Tide of Rising Syphilis in the United States, a call to action that issues specific action steps for communities impacted by the STD as well as public and private sector groups to reduce the burden of infection through research, treatment, and outreach. The document, released to coincide with April’s STD Awareness Month, also lists how CDC will contribute to reducing syphilis burden.
