The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently released a study that examined the effectiveness of the flu vaccine to prevent laboratory-confirmed influenza-associated death among children, the findings of which show that flu vaccination significantly reduced a child’s risk of dying from influenza. The findings underscore the importance for every child (six months and older) to get an annual flu vaccine, especially children at high risk of flu complications. Access the full study.
