The Food and Drug Administration has release a new funding opportunity seeking organizations to develop, test, and evaluate food safety and food defense health service activities. The grant also aims to engage participants to foster the application of existing knowledge for the control of categorical and food related diseases and illnesses. In addition, selected grantees will organize Food Protection Task Force meetings and support related research activities, foster communication, cooperation, and collaboration among federal, state, local, tribal and territorial food protection, public health, agriculture, and regulatory agencies.
