CDC Vital Signs: Arthritis in America

This month’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Vital Signs Report addresses how arthritis affects millions of adults in the United States. About 54 million adults reported that their doctor had diagnosed them with arthritis, and is one of the leading cause of disability. The report presents the latest findings on the effects of arthritis and how health care providers can help their patients manage arthritis symptoms.

Local health officials are encouraged to share the fact sheet with health department staff.
