NACCHO’s Health and Disability Program was recently highlighted in the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice. The article, is titled “NACCHO’s Baseline Assessment of Disability Inclusion Within Local Health Department,” and reviews the results of a 2014 baseline assessment. The assessment was conducted to increase understanding related to local health officials’ knowledge and awareness about the disability community and how local health department are including people with disabilities into their programs and activities.
