NACCHO’s Health and Disability Program is working on a project with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and the National Center for Health, Physical Activity, and Disability (NCHPAD) to get a better understanding of local health departments’ (LHDs) successes and challenges in including disability and health information into their Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) and Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIP).
NACCHO is currently seeking LHD staff interested in participating in a key informant interview led by UIC. Feedback from these interviews will help guide “best practices” for including people with disabilities into the CHNA/CHIP process. Interested participants are asked to contact Sara Lyons at [email protected] by April 14, 2017.
