Beth Ann Fiedler, PhD, Editor, Springer International Publishing Contract, is developing a new book on environmental conditions that impact public health. Dr. Fielder is seeking subject matter experts from the field of public health to serve as contributing authors on any of the following topics:
- Rethinking the Benefits of National Parks: Eliminating Manmade Barriers (e.g., could focus on zoonotic problems associated with health and animal habitat destruction/encroachment)
- Overview of Environmental Indicators Impacting Public Health
- Restoring Urban Ecosystems
- Healthy Transportation
Contributing authors are expected to provide approximately 25 double-spaced pages (11-pt font) formatted with a citation style similar to Harvard and Springer formatting, along with two to four graphics. Contributors will have about six months to complete the project, so papers that are already in progress may be better candidates for inclusion.
Interested parties can contact Beth Ann Fiedler, PhD at [email protected] for more information about this opportunity.
