Now Accepting Nominations: Aquatic Safety Grant

Mar 23, 2017 | Anastasia Sonneman

The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP) is seeking nominations of public health officials and/or health departments for its annual Dr. R. Neil Lower Grant. This grant supports continuing education, technical, and operational activities undertaken by public health officials and departments to advance safer and healthier use of recreational pool and spa water. The winning individual or health department will receive $5,000 at the 2017 National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) Annual Educational Conference & Exhibition (AEC) on July 12, 2017. The selected grantee will also participate in the 2018 NEHA conference Recreational Waters education track to update industry peers about their success in promoting safe and healthy recreational water use as a direct result of the grant.

Health department staff are highly encouraged to submit nominations on behalf of their agency, a colleague, or themselves. To submit a nomination, please download, complete, and send this form to [email protected] by May 19, 2017.
