Project Inform launched a new provider resource, Hepatitis C Infection and People Who Inject Drugs, aimed at improving the health of people who inject drugs (PWID). PWID are at greatest risk of hepatitis C infection in the United States. Many remain undiagnosed, putting them at risk for advanced liver disease and transmission of the virus to others.
These materials are designed for medical providers who provide care for patients who inject drugs, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants and nurses, as well as allied health professionals. Patient educational fact sheets are also included.
