The Program and Performance Improvement Office (Improvement Office), housed within the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, recently posted a new fellowship opportunity through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). The Improvement Office is expanding the activities around data use to improve public health and health care performance.
The fellow will assist with activities to ensure data are used to monitor, evaluate and improve the efficiency, outcomes, and impact of programs, policies, and activities by collaborating with Divisions to develop routine national, state, and grantee feedback reports and assisting with data-driven reviews. In addition, the fellow will assist in ongoing efforts to monitor, evaluate, and develop targeted responses to changes in health policy and practices that present new opportunities to advance NCHHSTP priorities through health care systems.
The fellowship (view full description) will last for at least 12 months (with options to renew) and will provide the candidate with an opportunity to exercise both health policy and data analysis skills.
