Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Annual Client-Level Data Report

Dec 09, 2016 | Kim Rodgers

The Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau’s (HAB) Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Annual Client-Level Data Report, 2015 is now available on the HAB website.

This publication reflects HAB’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the availability of timely program information in a variety of consumer-friendly formats. The report providers stakeholders and partners access to newly available, national Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) client-level data in a single publication. The report features Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Services Report (RSR) data on all clients served by RWHAP during calendar years 2011 through 2015. In addition, the publication provides an in-depth look at demographic and socio-economic factors among clients served, such as age, race/ethnicity, transmission risk category, federal poverty level, health care coverage, and housing status, as well as selected analyses to measure RWHAP’s progress on four goals to inform programmatic effort and funding to end the HIV epidemic.

The 2015 report includes several changes from the previous year, which include:

  • Reporting eligible scope, which allows for an enhanced understanding of the full volume of services received by clients of RWHAP recipients and subrecipients and better captures the impact of the program for clients receiving services.
  • Adding data tables previously presented in the RWHAP Supplemental Client-Level Data Report: Eligible Metropolitan Areas and Transitional Grant Areas.
  • Implementing the “two-step method” for determining current gender identity.
  • Modifying transmission risk categories for transgender clients to be more reflective of the transgender experience of transmission risk.

The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Annual Client-Level Data Report, 2015 is not copyrighted and may be used and copied without permission; citation is, however, appreciated. Please visit the HAB website to access the report and other RWHAP data tools.
