AUCD Awarded Grant for Health Care Provider Training

The Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) recently received a grant award from the Special Hope Foundation. The project, entitled Health is for Everyone: Action Team (HEAT), will support the creation of an action team to incorporate disability training into health care provider training. The goals of the project include attaining training standards for the training curricula of disability inclusion for physicians as well as creating an online clearinghouse of resources for medical schools to utilize in implementing disability training standards.
