The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) are seeking applicants for the 2017 AFDO-administered Retail Program Standards Grant Program. State, local, territorial, and tribal regulatory retail food programs enrolled in the Retail Program Standards are encouraged to apply by from November 2- December 1, 2016. This program provides funds for the completion of projects and training to enhance conformance with the Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards (Retail Program Standards).

An estimated $1.9 million will be awarded to this year’s selected jurisdictions in four project categories, including small projects, moderate projects, training and food protection task force projects (new this funding cycle).
