Serve on The Council to Improve Foodborne Outbreak Response’s Development Teams

Oct 19, 2016 | Amy Chang

NACCHO is seeking to nominate candidates from local health departments with experience and interest in foodborne outbreak response to serve on one of four Council to Improve Foodborne Outbreak Response’s (CIFOR) development teams. CIFOR is a multidisciplinary working group convened to increase collaboration across the country and across relevant areas of expertise in order to reduce the burden of foodborne illness in the United States.

CIFOR will carry out its mission and work through the development teams. The development teams are listed below:

  1. Identify Development Team: Identify what is being done in the area of outbreak response and what needs to be improved
  2. Lead Development Team: Lead the development of new CIFOR products to address remaining gaps and barriers and align activities across partner organizations and programs
  3. Promote Development Team: Promote model practices and other tools to support improvement
  4. Evaluate Development Team: Evaluate the overall effectiveness of outbreak response

If you are interested in participating as a member of a development team or have questions, please contact Amy Chang at [email protected] or 202-507-4221.
