Local health department (LHD) leaders and staff can now watch the general sessions from the 2016 NACCHO Annual Conference, held July 19–21 in Phoenix. The conference brought together more than 1,300 participants, who heard from national thought leaders, learned about successful and replicable public health practices from their peers, and discussed the pressing challenges affecting LHDs today. NACCHO has made available the four general sessions from the conference: Building Power for Health Equity; Slow Violence, Health Inequity, and the Future Well-Being of Communities; Collaborative Pathways for Advancing the Future of Local Public Health; and Achieving Health Equity – A Public Health Approach. The sessions provide in-depth conversations and a variety of perspectives on health equity, public health transformation, and Public Health 3.0. Viewers can also watch NACCHO Executive Director Dr. LaMar Hasbrouck, MD, MPH, give his State of the Association address, in which he shares his vision for the future of NACCHO.
