A recording of the 2nd Annual Amoeba Summit is now available. The summit, presented by Florida Hospital For Children, was held at the Florida Hospital Seventh-Day Adventist Church on September 9, 2016. Discussions focused on Naegleria fowleri, the amoeba that is found in freshwater and causes Primary Amoebic Meningoencephalitis (PAM), and provided information on:
- Early identification of signs and symptoms of PAM.
- Understanding the risk factors for PAM.
- Understanding the pathophysiology and treatment options for this disease entity.
